Cynthia's Bridal Shower by Vanessa Windisch

My sister is getting married! I had so much fun helping plan her bridal shower! To all the other bridesmaids what an adventure we had and I think our hard work paid off. In addition to my photography I love my crafts and this sure kept me busy. I made paper flowers, the invitations, signs. It was great! It took place at the Baker Lofts in Holland, Michigan.

Christmas Time by Vanessa Windisch

If you didn't know Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. Everyone is giving and happy not to mention its when I get to see my family. This was my first year as a married woman so getting to wake up and be next to Josh was one of the most unexpected joys I got to have. I had a short and sweet trip just a couple days and it was worth it. I happen to be going through a few photos just of me and my family when I discovered the photos I had from last years christmas of Lake Michigan. I can't believe I hadn't seen or gone through these! So even though these weren't from my trip I feel I should share them. Better late then never! =)

Thanksgiving in San Francisco by Vanessa Windisch

One of my best and oldest friends was visiting the Bay from Michigan the week of Thanksgiving. We decided to do a bit of site seeing in San Francisco including Lombard Street, Baker Beach, and the Marin Headlands. It was such a beautiful day!

Seattle by Vanessa Windisch

Months ago we discovered that one of our favorite bands Nine Inch Nails was not going to be touring through the Bay Area… weird right? They are one of those bands that not only haven't toured in a while but it's uncertain whether or not they will tour again. It was something we had to see! So we had two options. We could go to Seattle or we could go to Los Angeles. Both we have never been to. We tried to go to the LA show but weren't able to get tickets. So we decided to go to Seattle.

After wrestling with the decision on if we should fly or not we decided we wanted to drive. Really it doesn't seem that far right? After working almost 14 hours I came home and slept for 4 hours then we got up… slightly latter then planned but the extra sleep was needed. The drive started out optimistic but we discovered quickly that would seemed like a "short drive" turned into a long trip. 13 hours of traveling was rough but we got to see some beautiful places.

We made it to Seattle and when we checked in we got upgraded with a bigger room, jacuzzi, and a view of the Space Needle.  We got some rest and the next day we visited the Space Needle, the EMP Musuem, and was able to meet up with some friends. Our second day we met up with a colleague of Josh's. Came back to a trip at Pikes Place Market and walked around. We were able to go on a ferris wheel and we saw the original Starbucks. We were also able to eat some amazing vegetarian pizza! Then of course we went and saw Nine Inch Nails.

Our trip was short. The next day we were back on the road and headed back to the bay. The drive back was much easier I would say. We stopped in Portland where we got lost trying to find the Apple store. We made it back safe. We really enjoyed Seattle and hope to go back soon. Here are some pictures from the trip!
